A flipped teaching video

Hello everyone! πŸ’›

Today I’m back with another project, and this time we created a grammar-focused lecture video for the flipped classroom. So, what does “flipped” mean? Basically, students learn the lesson before class, usually through a video and then use class time to practice, interact, and ask questions. It makes the lesson more active and lets students come prepared.

For this assignment, my group (Δ°rem, Şevin, Hilal and me) created a flipped teaching video about the Future Tense. Our video has four parts:

1.When to use the Future Tense + future expressions

2. will

3. Going to

4. Summary & comparison

We first decided on the topic, wrote our scripts, prepared examples, and recorded our voice-overs. Then we edited everything in Canva, added animations, timed the slides, and designed a small Google Forms quiz for students to try after watching the video. Editing the video was honestly the most challenging part, matching the audio, adjusting the timing, and making it look clean took more effort than we expected!

After sharing our first draft (click to view), we received really helpful feedback like:
• include a comparison table
• number the quiz questions
• make the voice volumes more balanced
• add simple sound effects

So, we went back, made all the improvements, and now we have a cleaner, more engaging final version.

Here’s our flipped teaching video, take a look and follow the lesson at your own pace πŸ’›

And when you’re ready, you can try the quiz and check the lesson plan here:

That’s all from us, hope this flipped lesson inspires you a little. See you next time! ✨
