Hope you're all doing well. I can’t believe the semester is already coming to an end!
For our final assignment in ICT and Material Design in ELT course, we got to explore AI in a creative way, and I had the chance to “interview” a character using Magicschool.ai. I chose Lynn from Bad Genius, one of my favorite Thai films.
Instead of just analyzing her character from the outside, I was able to ask her questions and hear her responses as if she were real. I asked about her motivations, regrets, and how cheating affected her life and relationships. One of the most powerful parts was when she admitted how she felt turning herself in terrified, but also relieved. That part hit me the most and made the whole experience feel meaningful.
The writing part was a bit challenging because I had to summarize everything clearly and then use the Writing Feedback Tool to revise my first draft. It was actually really helpful; it pointed out awkward sentences and small grammar issues I didn’t notice before.
Using AI in this way made me realize how it can bring language learning to life. I can definitely see myself using this in the future as a teacher, maybe letting students “interview” historical figures or characters from books. It adds a fun and interactive element to class.
Overall, I really enjoyed this final task. I learned something new which I didn't know before. It was a creative way to end the term, and I learned a lot not just about AI, but also about writing, critical thinking, and the importance of integrity.
