Augmented/Virtual Reality Integrated Teaching Material

Hello friends!💛

Have you ever imagined exploring a country you’ve never been to without actually traveling there? That’s exactly what AR and VR technologies make possible. Instead of just reading about places in a textbook, students can see, explore, and experience them in a more immersive way.

This week, for our AR/VR-integrated teaching material, İremŞevinHilal and I designed a lesson that takes students on a virtual journey to the Czech RepublicWe used Canva and 360stories.com in the preparation of the teaching material. Our aim was to help learners explore the city while practicing English through meaningful, interactive tasks.

In this material, students explore Prague through 360° virtual tours, visiting famous landmarks like the Prague Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, and the National Museum. Using QR codes and clickable links, they interact with the sites, answer guided questions, share personal opinions, and learn about local culture and food. The lesson ends with a pair role-play and short writing task, encouraging meaningful communication.

After receiving feedback on the first draft of our material and ASSURE lesson plan, we revised them to make the instructions clearer, the tasks more focused, and the design more learner-friendly.

Overall, this project helped me see how AR/VR can make English learning more engaging, interactive, and student-centered.

📌 Here is the final version of our material and ASSURE lesson plan;

See you in the next post, byeeeee!!!
